Global Warming

Global warming is real and a vital issue that urgently needs to be addressed at the federal level. This is more than just an environmental issue; it is at the forefront of an energy independence policy that will make our economy stronger, our environment cleaner and our country safer. There is no doubt that we have the people and the resources to successfully tackle this problem. What we need is a federal policy that will create the infrastructure and economic conditions to allow entrepreneurs and business leaders to bring innovative alternative energy technologies to the market.

The federal government should look to the leadership of republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and use California’s Global Warming Solutions Act, Low Carbon Fuel Standard, and Clean/Efficient Energy Standards as a blueprint for federal policy. By using these policies we will create a definable federal policy that substantially reduces green house gases through market mechanisms, regulations and technological innovation.
